A five-time Pro Bowler and one of the NFL's most reliable kickers over the last nine years, David Akers ranks first on the club's all-time list with field goals and with points. Allan Manganello at the Shaolin Kempo Jiu-Jitsu
Academy in Louisville and at Maxercise in
Philadelphia. Said Akers: "The martial arts influence
is the part where you don’t think about [the
kick]. You’ve trained yourself so much to where you
go and just do it. Same thing in a fight. You prepare
for that one instance where someone is coming at
